I think it is mostly not just sexual coz as a kid also u have crush or someone u think u like or something like that which doesn't make u horny but be with with and do stuff with them i think it would have been more sudden as a kid coz just a touch or look from a person he likes or looks up to would make him so happy that it could be considered lust which would explain mb y the teacher felt he was disgusting or something but now as a more mature kid he won't coz he can now differentiate between all of the emotions like happy and horny or arousal （￣へ￣）
