Really big spoiler, but the saddest things is when little mushrooms become ashes in front of the ml ;-; he sacrifice himself too help a scientist that lives outside the city by dying burned by a sort of machine that can read wave. With the wave of the little mushrooms they save the planet and stop everything that was starting to mutate and fuses together. But don’t worry, the spores that was left grew and it’s became him, it’s like a phoenix.

He find out that mc is a mushroom really late. And when he realize, if I remember correctly he says «  he was just a little mushrooms… » that was so cute

Reading the novel is really worth it, it’s so cute and the ml is so in love with our little mushrooms
