I think it was another of his kind. He recognized one of his own, like mikis boss recognized Shiro. Maybe felt a little pity for him. (〜￣△￣)〜

ooh, i like this a lot!! he never understood and even disliked others’ pity for him, but now that he’s gained the experience of being human, he now carries that pity for others of his kind…that’s so good
