I can handle flawed FL when it makes sense. Her stupidity here doesn't make sense. It feels like some plot convenience to cause conflict. How stupid can you be to go up close enough to a jail cell where a dangerous man is locked up that he can take the squirrel within arms reach and ended up getting taken advantage of! She can be flawed, but not stupid flaw.
ppl are being too judgemental towards the FL. you expect her to be an overpowered god and pull a street smart/academically smart move when she spent most of her time abused and caged in her past life up to adulthood..?
you could've said the same thing when she easily accepted the request to be taken in by duke/rodwick or when the younger bro was threatening her to leave but still decided to stay but i don't see ya'll saying the same thing ¯_(ツ)_/¯
