I disagree on the starting over with her family part. they neglected and abused her so goddamn much even when she was dying she deserves freedom. the only one I can slightly see is the youngest brother.
MHMM!! I don't understand how you as a reader see and read what the mc went through and still end with "well, she should still reconcile with her family!" Like goddamn, is this how ppl easily get trapped in abusive/toxic relationships?
(And no, I'm not talking about abusive relationships where the victim is being held hostage against their will, but more so the fact that they have free will to walk out, but instead choose to be stuck to the abuser cuz they are their family/lover)
I understand what you are saying and I even somewhat agree with you, I don't know I am not a saint but her family was really repenting they apologised, I think everyone deserves a second chance, I am not saying to be restarting like nothing happened no but her younger brother was very sorry he even cried on various occasion, I don't know may be it's the people pleaser in me speaking......
I actually read the novel and then found this manhua they did miss some details but the story is quite satisfying, although her family deserves what happened to them. They completely ignored Mingxi to the point that they felt she is trying to get things from Zhao Yuan, yes they raised her but Mingxi also wanted to feel loved they didn't even know how much she was struggling. Like when she got burned by the soup saving her brother the whole family left her to take Zhao Yuan to hospital who wasn't even burned that much. Her death in the previous life is heart-wrenching, the whole family was on the verge of breaking and she just silently left. Still at the end, I personally feel that there should be some extra chapter of her restarting with her family.
