Well, I think you're forgetting how Jin told his Dad at the day of Manny's parents' funeral to fuxk off because he doesn't know anything about any killings
Jin's dad probably (almost certainly) had no clue that Jin actually was starting to like being around Manny. The only time Jin's dad saw him with Manny was at the bridge where Manny was fighting with Jin. So the dad really thought Manny was being a total jerk towards his son and went to kill him.... *cough*
