His hate is justified tho, the empress is a disgusting woman. She not only kills people unnecessarily, abuses her own son ALSO SHE RAPED THE EMPEROR AND THAT WAS HOW SHE GAVE BIRTH TO ETIENNE, that's why emperor hates her and Etienne too (kinda ig even tho poor baby don't deserve it)
I agree! But our sweet boy doesn’t deserve the level of disdain and humiliation the dad gives him at every corner. I REALLY hope the dad feels like for the rest of his life and tries to make up for it. He would go out of his way to humiliate him too :/
I really hope I’m wrong and the king immediately realizes how horrible his son has been abused by the mother and believes him instead of saying it’s a ploy to take over the kingdom
