Here. Dan got coerced into having sex = rape by Jaekyung. Dan is mentally miserable juggling his dying grandma, the loan sharks and the feelings he somehow ended up getting from his rapist because he has been financially supportive. Since Dan likes to sleep with Jaekyung now, the rape before cancels out. This is a beautiful story of romance flourishing accompanied by MMA scenes.

No, I’m sorry but the author didn’t do any “research” and yes they have a talent for art but as far as jinx story goes, this is lazy writing. It is a used and recycled plot and the author didn’t even try making it different in anyway. I understand people like these tropes which is fine, but talented authors takes cliches and tropes, then turns it into something of their own style, so it doesn’t feel like you’re reading the same book all over again.

But this author did not. They simply used recycled plot, while profiting off minimum effort (but honestly I’m not even mad at that. Do what you have to do to make that money) Then they hype it up by saying “big things are coming in season 2” which we all know exactly what’s coming, because again, cliches. I just hope there’s a bigger plot twist, if there is then I might actually be invested.

And I PROMISE YOU they are going to toss in the “JK had a poor abused past. He was bullied by his peers and father.” Also his mom probably passed away as a child. Because that’s the easier route any author can buy out instead of adding actual depth to the characters.

Can you talk to me? Can you stop and look at what you said. You tried to counter something I said but changed what I meant to say something. Typically, from those type of responses is only looking for a sounding board or a fight without listening to the other person.
I am not interested.
I said she researched and she did. She is not much of an athlete. What is Jaekyung? An athlete. So how did she know this stuff. I have not seen anyone calling her out. She knew about cauliflower ears. She had to research things for Dan too.

With all due respect, research ≠ the writing.
Which do you think want to talk about the research that shows or the writing?
She is following what happened in BJ Alex and some other typical BL stories. So she has took the lazy way out of things where she could had made a better story with the research she had to do.

There are many things of a recycled plot. I do understand your points and frustrations.

It has been hinted he was bullied and his trigger shows it.
I don’t know about his parents. We will see. I hope she will surprise you but I think you need to look at this as its own story. I see something and I don’t know how to explain it.
Let’s do an example. You have a table full of coke. You are bored with drinking coke but you keep drinking it. As you keep drinking the coke you assume it is all coke. But you have in your hands cherry Vanilla Coke and you have not opened it by being focused on drinking coke over and over again. What’s more not all the drinks are coke but Dr Pepper and Pepsi. But being stuck would you see coke or Pepsi holding a Pepsi in your hand.
If you consider them all the same are you going to miss when the story isn’t? And no I am not referring to Jinx but any story. If you change your mind set you may see something different. Yes I know there are many reusable plots.

Potn to my understanding had hate. I bet it is different here but it is really toxic here. It is not other places. After seeing it for months and knowing a few things
It is people thinking they can make a difference. It is haters and newbies to this genre that don’t understand it.
Many of them will have fake details.
Some haters have not read it or just a few chapters.
It is not the writing, recycling plot or the ML being toxic. If not it would be more stories and not just here. And I am not talking about negative feedback or criticism. I am talking about hate. “I hate jk” is an opinion and negative criticism, not hate.
