What seemed most to me is that Seme is old-fashioned and that's why he proposed marriage right after the first kiss. I believe that the sex scene was a compensation so much so that it is categorized as an extra, not as chapters

Just 'cause YOU see them as "family" doesn't mean that the mangaka meant for them to be that way lol you say he saw him as a "younger brother" but not ONCE was that ever mentioned in any way. He said that their yakuza group was basically all people who didn't really have a place to go to, but that they were free to leave whenever 'cause they were smaller and not as strict as bigger groups.

The reason why he lied to the MC about a few things was 'cause he knew he didn't have a place to return to, and since they were similar in personalities ((well, similar to how his younger self used to be)) he knew that the MC would have stormed off without a plan if he knew he was free to go.

Also, ya'll bitch when there's sex within the first chapter of shorter series, but you also bitch when a shorter series doesn't have the characters popping a boner for each other any time they breathe lol they went on a date. The manga was only greenlit for a set amount of chapters. They ran out of main chapters for the story which is why most mangaka include a "bonus chapter" for extra lil bits that they couldn't fit into the limited chapters they had to work with.

The bonus chapter in this wasn't "compensation" but a "this is them a lil later after they finally started dating" lol the mangaka didn't have the space to add 3 more chapters of them doing the usual yaoi/bl shenanigans of them trying to bone but getting interrupted or the seme waiting until the time is right for them to finally have sex.
