it's not about being rich, its more about greed - he knows that if he makes a fuss the MC will offer him money & that's why he keeps in touch with her - he knows that even though he has everything that should rightfully be hers, she still got money - money he could have if he "helps" her get rid of a mutual problem
Yeah no he literally escaped an island prison and they "need" to find reasons to put him back in jail? Isn't being an escapee enough? That bit makes no sense to me and has turned me off from the story. I'll try to read further, but I have a feeling there are going to be other scenarios that make no sense logically.
Does he really need a reason to throw his brother back in prison?
