Life is a long psychotherapy maybe ? Congrats i am glad you don't need that kind of content in your life.
There is something about violence in general in fictionnal work, it gives catharsis and it gives thrills or chills. (Adrenaline)
You and i might be more of a seretonine driven and oxytocin driven type of person rather than adrenaline.
(It's a matter of baggage and brain chemistry) _
There is something unclear about how rape fantasy works but for sure it SELLS. _ it's strange and it's misunderstood in my opinion. It's weird that some part of the brain can overlap and can give unclear signals, like i know for some people the zones in the brain for pain and pleasure are overlapping or they need strong stimulus to feel they are alive or something. That's one of the things to be wary about watching porn, it has an impact on brain chemistry and can lead to addiction and the need to go for the extremes because of desensitization. and objectification. _ Well i did my best to explain, i am not english native so i just hope that's helpful. _
Appologies if what i am stating is triggering but it seems to me that for some people, denial of r@pe as problematic,
is a matter of survival because they are trapped in an abusive relationship irl and so yeah. Also such content and romanticizing rape or minimizing the meaning/consequences , can be a coping mechanism when trauma is present. (I think that''s understandable.) _
But yeah i tend to avoid subjecting myself to such contents on repeat and i am grateful for anyone putting a content warning or a trigger warning so that i can avoid these.
Why do the artist that draw really good and it’s like a magical thing put r@pe in their story. Like I understand you want to put something in your story but r@pe? I stopped reading so many of them and I just don’t find joy about it and I’m the comments I see people put “well he’s handsome so it doesn’t matter or she’s just really pretty.” Like wtf?!
