If he wasn't a guide they wouldn't of went after him...is what he's saying... It's actually very true. If they didn't need a guide, he wouldn't of suffered the hell they put him through. They're to blame for everything, but taking him being a guide out of the equation and he would of never met those jerks.

That's definitely not what I said. They were looking for a guide, he fit their criteria for a guide. If he wasn't a guide, they wouldn't of looked twice at him. See how they treat the others around them? If he didn't have that eye thing so interested in him, he wouldn't of met them either. It's not his fault. And him being a guide doesn't excuse their behavior, or even their actions.
It's just like a chain reaction... The eye thing -> him a guide -> ML being attracted to MC -> because he awoken as a guide after encountering the eye thing and onr of the ONLY survivors -> resulted in being targeted by the ML (not the grape or anything, just meeting)
