Hahaha I've always wondered the same thing! Like it's so dramatic. I've never fainted or passed out from a cold or fever before, even when I was a little kid. Maybe it's the different environment?? I really have no idea :'D
I live in a tropical country and if someone caught a cold, we treat it as nothing serious.. We just cough and sneeze from time to time and only rest if we need to.
Unless you have a flu and high fever then that's a different question..
Ikr! Or just grab some over-the-counter medicine. No one's ever worried about me like I'm gonna die any minute because of a cold. Which is probably why I find this such a fascinating and strange phenomenon. Lol. I mean, it's not like we're living in the medieval ages. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

Are colds in other countries really that serious? To the point where you faint or have to go to the hospital? Is it really that easy to get a fever from staying too long in the bathroom or something? Or am I the only one who's too lazy and just takes a sick leave and watches netflix/reads yaoi all day whenever I get a "cold" (-> because anything for a sick leave)? Because this happens a lot in mangas and webtoons and I'm here thinking they all weak. Lol.
