Ack, no! That makes it worse! Ha ha! There are other means of deterrence than rape and murder. What I'm having trouble with is that now this Asami's decision on how best to serve the needs of his group is completely untouched by an act of such great impact, it forged this lifelong bond between two men. There's a disturbing compartmentalization to it now.
I don't know that he didn't feel remorse. When Aki told him that he was awful, I don't think he particularly liked that Aki was viewing him that way. He changed tactics and relented on the brutality and kissed him. Repeatedly throughout the manga, Asami makes adjustments to his own behavior whenever Aki views him harshly.
Anoni Grrl gets it completely.
Btw i know where you got this summary and do you have permission to be posting detailed summaries of it here? Because I could have sworn I saw her saying in big red letters not to. She'll be pissed if she hears about it and may stop working on it.
Let me get a few things very straight here: a) What you see here? What you call "this summary"? That was written by ME. The SOURCE of this information is 1) M's summary in the LJ group as well as 2) the info I got from a friend who is currently reading the novel. M did ask not to post HER summaries (as in posting it verbatim) elsewhere. And so I'm OF COURSE (!) NOT posting her summaries. Period. I have so far only posted literally a handful of pieces of information (hence the "novel nuggets") from the previous chapters (like the fact that Asami is a working part-time as a bar tender and that he likes to cook) and I ONLY did this extremely brief extract of this particular part, an extract which is not even a SIXTH in length compared to M's summary, because just writing that "Kuroda gets gang raped. Asami kills everyone." hardly would have worked to get across what happened. And I didn't use her summary or her wording. I didn't copy paste. I summed up the very basic events in my own words based on these TWO sources of info I had. b) I have known M for many, many years and I'm also a longtime member and friend of her "friends only" group. So you can now go and untwist your knickers. Move along, nothing to see here.
P.S.: I was simply trying to give some VERY BASIC pieces of info to those that didn't have access to the group. None of it remotely resembled M's summary. But screw that. I honestly don't feel like I have to let some moronic, cowardly Anonymous come here and personally attack me like that. So I'm done with it and I'm done with the novel nuggets. You can thank Miss Snarky here for that. Over and out.
Spoiler -
I would love to know Asami's body count to be honest (⊙…⊙ )…even by the time he was 20 there were quite a few clearly! And I wonder when he committed his first murder?! Because he killed those guys without hesitation and broke someones neck with his bare hands which indicates he was well accustomed to it -
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧ Oh Asami…..
You're no friend of hers if you talk about her and post her name here in public and do what she asked you not to. She's known by that name by sensei and sensei's friends, but you'd know that since you're great friends with her.
jesus effing christ, zip the lip anon. you're not the only one on that group, lots of us are and she wasn't posting any of the goddamn summaries so cut it out. go get yourself an account next time you wanna have a go at someone. that's if you got the balls. spare us the mother superior act and don't pretend like you're in the know about anything cause you know shit so shut your gob.
Surely Asami is hot and twisted but I always had the impression that he does things not only because of friendship and feelings for someone. I think that he's the kind of person that has an interest or purpose by helping someone. For example: the matter with Fei. Even Kuroda -if you think about him and the professional path he chose, is something that might turn out 'useful' for Asami
But even if you're KILLING someone for the sake of someone else, for your own sense of justice yada yada - it still means a lot for someone to do that without hesitation. It's a life taken with your own hands. Can you imagine what stabbing someone feels like? Or breaking someones neck? I don't really care about his reasons for doing it, I'm just curious about the actual body count he has acclimated over the years. It must be quite a lot…over ten, over twenty…..more….

So... this is the tough part that one of our Anonymous posters had already mentioned. You have been warned...
Kuroda was heading to the train station to go to cram school when the gang, that had been threatening him, extorting him and beating him up before, got hold of him. The kidnapped him and he was taken away, bound, blindfolded and drugged. He is taken to an empty room in an underground club and then gang raped repeatedly by the gang (10 men in total) who take turns and keep giving him more drugs. Kuroda loses track of time (and also consciousness at some point), but it seems this has been going on for days. When he no longer reacts to what is being done to him, the boss of the gang wants to dispose of him by shooting him dead. That's when Asami shows up and kills every single one of them with his knife, until only the leader of the gang is left standing. The gang leader puts a gun to Kuroda's head, threatening to kill him, if Asami doesn't put down the knife. Asami does so, but as the gang leader goes for the knife, Asami kicks the gun away from him. The gang leader then pulls out his own knife. He and Asami circle each other. Kuroda takes hold of the gun and aims at the gang leader, but Asami tells him not to shoot the man. Asami manages to break the gang leader's hand and then, getting him in a chokehold, breaks his neck. Asami then tells Kuroda to give him the gun as he had no need for it. Asami finds the keys and frees Kuroda from his handcuffs. Noticing he has been drugged, Asami looks around and finds the syringe with the drug they gave Kuroda and pockets it (personal note: I guess to give it to the doctors at the hospital, so they know what they're dealing with). Asami then puts his jacket around Kuroda and tells him he is glad to have found him in time (personal note: okay, that's relative...). Kuroda then loses consciousness.
*****
I find it so profoundly sad that Asami made sure it would be him who killed the gang leader, and not Kuroda. I mean, Asami is still a teenager, too. He prevented Kuroda from becoming a killer, thus saving that last bit of innocence that Kuroda had left. :(
