Nope, I'd say ML has really turned around for the better. It's actually one of the few BLs where the seme shows genuine regret for his actions. The rest of it is him trying to win the MC/ ukes affection but they're both a lil dense so it's taking them a while. Thete is a moment where the seme kisses uke during his sleep but that's it. They'll have other moments that I would say were fairly consensual (we get uke pov and it implies he wanted those moments but has inner conflict because of what happened in early chs.) Hope this helps! Please give it a chnace! It's a slow burn for by BL terms but damn I can't wait for the endgame!!

Chapters 30-35 are were you really see Nakwon start to have his character development due to witnessing MC being on the verge of death caused by his kidnappers (MC get’s “kidnapped” and gets sedated.) Then Nakwon goes on this whole yip yap tirade because he believed that MC was dead and he starts mourning. Crying over MC, rambling about nonsense over MC, and that repeated “I haven’t seen him in a week” FUCK ASS LINE. Nakwon also rethinks his actions with MC and feels intense shame about it, I mean…He literally stand himself in the hand because of it. And then later chapters, he tries to “swoon” MC into forgiveness by offering him luxury items and such. All just manipulating his money to win MC over, it’s a whole lotta bs imo. I do not like Nakwon, at all. I find his character to be unbearably idiotic, dense, and narcissistic. He’s a fucking rapist and abuser??? Like, that (this) shouldn’t be just wrapped up to a “well he felt intense regret for what he did, look how pitiful he is!” NO, he needs to be actually condemned and put into punishment for the shit he DID?! The fuck?! Him stabbing himself and then going on this money spending spree to please Mokhwa (and primarily himself) is fucking INSANE. He needs way more ridicule and shame for me to actually see him as a love interest and not a rapist. However though, Mokhwa, MC, is who I really read the story for because: 1) He doesn’t forget nor forgive Nakwon for what he did to him, still doesn’t up till the latest chapter, and 2) I just find his character interesting.
The characters, as a whole, are very well—let’s say—/complex/ enough for a reader to find some sort of entertainment. So if you wanna read it for the rollercoaster experience, you should read it.
I don't have enough brain cells to write a long comment but I believe chapters 34-35 are worth the wait and effort. I absolutely love this story, even though the rpe scenes are bad, the ml regrets it so much and even in the latest chapters he calls himself the mc's aggressor and thinks that the mc has every right to reject him (all this in his thoughts). But I do love those two dorks.
Thanks! I got a little past chap 20 and I was like "ok the ML is starting to turn himsellf around (I still hate him tho)" and then BOOM he goes and rapes the poor MC for literally no reason at all. I'm gonna stick with it for the redemption arc but I don't think I'll ever not despise the ML for what he's already done so far. Hoping that the MC makes him feel like complete and utter shit about it
Not a girl, but moving on. It’s crazy that you think that simply stating FACT that has happened in this story and sharing my distaste to it is praising my “moral superior(ity)” over fiction. You act like what I said was wrong, but you then add further reasons to what I said like a form of agreement? Are you dense? Genuinely asking in the most kindest of ways, because what are you attacking me for. I don’t like the blatant Rapist abuser in the story and now I’m suddenly “morally superior.” Lmao god bless you.
Im on chapter 10 and I feel so disgusted by the ML. I don't understand how rape in the first chapter could turn into a love story, but obviously since I read BL I've seen it before. Is where the story is right now worth all the terrible shit the ML does in the beginning?
