In all honesty Dowoon probably has a hunch about Yi-chan’s (potential) true identity. Because Dowoon was unable to protect Minha for all of those years, Yi-chan might’ve felt it was his place to do so.
I’m interested in Yi-chan’s story and hope he finds his form of happiness—but I’d rather an honest man than someone who manipulates others to get what he wants.
It seems as if Yichan was a deity and experienced something similar to their situation. It would make a lot of sense. Him approaching Minha seeing he doesn't have a deity around, taking care of him would be his way of protecting Minha, because he in fact lost his powers and became human. He even alluded to this in the last chapter, saying something along the lines of Dowoon losing his ability to protect Minha or in that case his Devine powers, because he's staying human for too long. If you lose your ability all you can do is taking care of the aftermath like providing band aids. He approached Minha randomly, asked him if he was fine and immediately prevented a harmful accident. Also disappeared for a while only to pop up into the same class. Also followed him to the same uni.
The "you're not the only one who's special around here" heavily implies that he's not human, therefore the special, as he's referring to Dowoon specifically and not Minha. And he can see spirits.
I'm curious about his back story.
All in all still kinda Team Yichan here..
I'm just not a fan of overly jealous and controlling tropes.
Yichan doesn't even interfere with their relationship in a physical way, he's just talking Dowoon into getting in his own head.
Which is not nice, sure. He's not very polite about it, but at least he's not throwing hands like a certain someone... Grabbing someone by their collar is not the kind of aggression and impulsiveness, even due to jealousy, I'd tolerate from my boyfriend so casually.
