I also thought it was odd they fought inside. Perhaps it was some sort of inside training hall?
About the knight code, from what I gathered you're not supposed to bring harm to a "budding flower/flower in bloom" in other words you cannot harm/deter a knight that is about to awaken their aura. The code means that you are to nurture and help them come about to their fullest potential. You are to guide them. Hence when Vlad was dueling that knight, the knight wasn't able to cut down Vlad. Doing so would have either damaged or deterred his "world"/aura from awakening and would have broken knight code. Knights who awaken their aura aren't that common, even more so at Vlad's age, so it was an even bigger reason. The King himself set up this code/law. So going against it would have ALSO gone against the King himself.

First of all, the character designs are very beautiful. Every characters have their own uniqueness and personality too. I'm glad that it wasn't mc centered and showed other characters pov in some panels. I also love how every character have an important role in the story and always connected, because most of the stories now are just mass release without any proper planning and just going through the flow. Just as i almost be disappointed cause i thought they abandoned character(like forget a character), they actually just show up in the next chapter. lol. In summary, I love how everyone is written gorgeously, my eyes and mind were blessed
Second, story plot really thickening. Somehow, he is very connected to spirits. The snake and the horse even maybe the whisper it may be a spirit. I'm really curious abt the whispers identity. At first in the Alicia's house or something, the first code was mentioned, i thought it might be whispers identity since it was also mentioned that it was familiar to the place. But if they are making it as a foreshadow i would be really disappointed, because that would be predictable. But somehow I don't think it is the case tho, it also maybe connected to the dragons, the fragments are scattered. What could've been the case? The whisper shouldn't be a dragon, cuz he have swordsmanship. Maybe he is the cause of the dragon fragments to scatter?... Cursed mages. godwin, george, dragon fragments, whisper, etc i would anticipate to the day this, all of this are connected.
Third, some things I don't understand. When the duel in the place of Alicia, it was very off. Why are they fighting insinde? It wasn't a duel ground or training ground too. A major damaged could've been inflicted to the place or to the people present. They are all knights. And i didn't understand much in that arc, i didn't understand much how the code works and why it worked in their favor.
In summary, i love the story. I hope this wouldn't be on hiatus and when back it will have ugly ass art. I hope they will end season one with 70+ chapter.
