Most of us who dislike the fact that the flashback is taking too long would've preferred a fee flashback scenes here in there along the way rather than one block that makes you forget the present timeline.

As a fan, I respect the author's creative vision but that doesn't mean that I can't point out what I don't like about it. Does that mean that I want the author to redo this? Of course not, it's their work and no one is special enough to dictate how that goes. But, I will criticize it and day that the story is losing my interest. I get that the author was probably going for "I only show you that there is a complicated past between these three characters and you as the reader have no idea why and you don't get most things and then I reveal to you the past in a block and everything makes sense all of a sudden". It's just not my cup of tea.

Agree. I honestly believe even leaving the legend and grandiosity of Brian the Dragon Knight as being described by Sol and the kingdom, and the controlling and yerning from the blond with the "I found him first this time" and things like that, was working already pretty well. It's absolutely wonderfull to have this recounting of the past, but I don't feel it was needed in the first place fro the main story to be told, and the way it was placed to interrupt the main story for more than a year is just a no from me.
