Main character Aoi decided to stay back in the past to take on a historic figures role that was killed (something about taking his place and maintaining the timeline or something) while he stays behind all the other time travelers end up going back to the future (yes, his female friend, the footballer, scientist kid, crazy knife kid, climber and his sister, etc...all those get back to the future) also Aoi ends up with that girl (the one that took care of his female friend) and has a kid with her.
