After rereading this story so many time, I finally understood the story, and I've got to say, its heart wrenching. I hope Misato and Mei can be happy together, as well as Iida and Akira. I feel like every single one of them was using another person in one form or another, but now that everything is done and over with- they can finally move and learn to be happy.
