I make a point to read 30ch before dropping it unless theres a taboo that doesn't sit well with be. Them being: sibling (step half or adopted included) romantic interest and sa disguised as love story (aka smut where the girl is sa into "consent"). As this one doesn't have any of those I'm trying my best to read until the 30th chapter.
Now, if I complain or praise it isn't the comments section for that? Besides, by your words, if you don't like my comment just don't read it. But hey, at least im making valid points instead of just throwing hate and insults on it. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I honestly just think you can't comprehend the story at all because if you were genuinely reading the story you would know that he already had talent the only reason why he failed as an artist is because he gave up and threw away his guitar. Simply because he didn't feel seen or heard as a singer ultimately deciding the music immortals abandoned him when in reality it's because he decided to leave and give up on his dream.
Secondly, he has been a manager for some decades, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to not have retained some skills or behaviors left over from his first life.
Third the immortals actually do play a part in helping him and the advice they give actually help him as a person.
Fourth if he wants to help the people who impacted his life or left a mark on him he can.
Also to add on you keep comparing the manga to real life singers and their experiences and then also compare the manga to other mangas they have a somewhat similar background. Which doesn’t make sense in any way because not all mangas under the same genre are gonna be similar or follow the same path because it’s different authors writing these stories. Plus this is fiction so why are you bringing in how the story or the characters should act based on real life experiences when the whole part of mangas is that anything can happen and that it doesn’t have to follow logic all the time!
What you on? I made 2 comments is this... and replied in other 2 comments. One of them explaining why readers wre bashing on new singer girl, which turned into a conversation and the other agreeing with someone with similar opinion.
What doesn't make sense is you, who didn't participate in any of those conversations suddenly replying here acting as if you have a say in whatever should or shouldn't be said in the comments section.
You like the comic, good for you, keep reading it and move along. No reason to be obsessed with what I comment. You're looking like a fangirl picking a fight because someone criticized your bias... ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
I'd get if you came disagreeing and pointing out nice points of the comic to balance what I pointed out or even havind a different pov on those tike a normal conversation but you're not even doing that... you're just repeating stop readind and commenting over and over using different words... you're honestly worse than me so stop being a pot if you want to call the kettle black...
I won't deny that I missed this comment as such I haven't read your valid points. I apologize for that.
However I still disagree with majority of it.
Let's start with him being talented. I highly recommend that you re-read the 1st chapter. He admits himself that he gave up because he didn't think he was as talented as others. BUT let's say you are right and he was indeed talented but gave himself up. He now might have knowledge and the talent... but he still doesn't have the experience. His body needs to be trained all over. His vocal chords, his lungs and even his hands! Being talented and knowledgeable about painting doesn't mean you'll be able to create a masterpiece as soon as you hold the brush. You get it? Is this lack of him training himself and putting effort into being able to do those things that irks me. Like imagine a normal person that only run in hs suddenly being able to run a marathon without prepping their body first. It feels incongruent and hence I wish it was shown... he practicing the gitar, piano and singing until he got to profesional level.
Yeah he lived uear as manager... and regrets it. I do get he acting on manager's instincts sometimes. He did do that to get where he is, including discussing his contract with the company and all. I have no problems with that. But it's a different story when he keep focusing his energy and time into promoting someone else's career instead. He keeps paying too much attention to that girls and involving himself too much. He is more invested in that than his own music and career, he reasons he was sent back.
Lastly, the immortals only seem to be giving him moral support... and while that is important it would be better if they were shown as reasons he is able to do things he wasn't before... like Freddie's suggestion to help him that one time... or passing down/teaching their skills for example... now they are just bystanders that give some good advice at times.
Who wouldn't want to help in his place? I agree with him helping them, he helped his current manager too by signing with him right... but the way he helped her was wacky to say the least.
I haven't read ch 30 yet and later I respond about your other comment. rl is calling me...
Like I said before fiction doesn’t follow logic most of the time so that's pretty much why he isn't seen practicing or working on his skills like other manga similar to this. Plus the story hasn't even really had time to go into what the immortals are capable of and how they can affect him. It’s only on ch 30
If I’m being honestly it feels like the author doesn't pay much attention to adding key information it feels more like a free-form story rather than having an actual plot. Regarding that, I believe the author is a beginner so the story is not gonna have much backbone.
Overall it is still good but it does need background information and more of a stable plotline so readers don't give up.
I think the reason you can't get into is that you're used to more experienced authors and not much on “low-quality” or low experienced authors. It's really just a mindset because your expecting this story to be like once again idol or debut or die.
Try reading The Genius Actor’s Aura, My Second Life as an Idol, Saving the Doomed Idols With My Touch, Top Star’s Talent Library, Superstar From Age 0, This Life Starts as a Child Actor, A Tidal Wave of Glory, I Became the Youngest Top Idol, In This Life, the Greatest Star in the Universe those would be more your type ._.
Yep I read all of them. Maybe that's why I had high expectations for this one too. I get fiction not following rl logic, but when is a mix of reality and fantasy I think I expected at least some reasoning for the changes in him, like systems or supernatural beings teaching or lending mc their power...
Maybe it's like you said and author is kinda inexperienced. Honestly the 1st chapter gave very stong guidelines on why he was sent back and what he should do... don't give up on music again and work hard to make his music known (and not explicit bu mecome a immortal like them). So not seeing him working hard for it and kinda doing side quests instead of focusing on his career was a bit of a turn off.
I don't think there'll be a big of a change on this enough to change my opinion... I feel he'll keep "getting lucky" and "helping others" and somehow his success will come from that... not something I'll like tbh... the 30ch of grace were given and unfortunately it's meh for me. I feel it's not bad bad but could be better so I'll drop.
If you'll keep reading please let me know if at some point it starts to feel that he's working hard and taking his career seriously or if we get something more from the immortals besides normal advice... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
As I said, I'd have no problem with him being a bidge and connecting her with the company. But let's be real. He feels more like her agent than a singer now. First he talks as if his album was her "debut album" and was only a success because of her... and now when busking (called it) instead of showing his skills, proving himself and debunking that he's talentless... he is AGAIN focusing on HER. Having HER sing and clearing HER image.
Is this about a singer or an agent? Because it really feels like the later and that's not why I'm here. If I wanted to read about a regretful agent pushing artists into stardom I'd go read one of those...
I also see no reason for mc to be "genially talented" like this when he was such a failure in his first life. He doesn't seem like a genius. Doesn't have a "cheat" to justify his talent. He also isn't a hard worker that is training his skills to get better than last life on it. Even those immortals aren't really actively helping him with anything. The most they do is give "useless" advice. They are not coaching him or teaching him anything nor "lending" him their skills.
With how mc is acting I can't help but think the immortals would be better off having chosen someone else to bring back. I don't like that girl he's helping, but even her is looking like a better choice than him rn.
