yeah, i think it’s one person with all of these accounts that either is really, and i mean really, dedicated to trolling, or it’a a very advanced stage of some mental illness, because i refuse to believe a sane person came up with all this and is taking it so seriously. and even if it’s trolling, then who tf has this much time to keep on rambling that some mediocre ass webtoon doesn’t have rape in it? like at the end of the day who tf cares about this stuff so much? it’s literally so weird and niche because it’s just this one fucking webtoon, which isn’t even that good to get that worked up on.
I’ve read only 5 chapters and I already can tell that I will hate this webtoon, and not because it has a rape/forced sex scene, but because I’ve seen this exact rape scene and this exact scenario played so many times in so many different webtoons that it’s already simply boring. The characters have exactly 0 personality besides seme being a big aggressive asshole whose ego is almost as big as his dick and uke being a petite and naive guy who’s going to be assaulted hundreds of times and will see nothing wrong in that, instead convincing himself that he’s actually falling in love with the other guy. Sprinkle some past (preferably childhood) trauma on top of that that explains why seme is so fucking mean and violent, and narcissistic (his mom died when he was 8 and his dad didn’t like him after that), and you have the characters we’ve seen in so many webtoons already. And they (seme in particular) will have exactly 0 character development until chapter 69 when seme realizes that he maybe doesn’t like uke only when he’s crying while being violently raped but also when he smiles (after being violently raped, that is). After that, seme will still not have any character development but the author will try to desperately convince you (but fail miserably) that seme is actually undergoing some changes and from now on he is going to be a good guy.
It’s not hate for this webtoon in particular, it’s rather just general frustration of mine that there’s already been so many webtoons that are exactly the same, besides slight changes in some insignificant details like plot or characters’ personality, and the authors are just becoming lazy, preferring to go for that easy cash instead of actually coming up with some interesting and well-thought of ideas. I know it’s probably partly the fault of the publisher of the webtoon as well, as they favor yet another uninteresting and lazy rape story that they try to disguise as a “new original BL love story” over some actually well-written ones, but it only means that sooner or later, the readers are going to be really fed up with it.
And again, it’s not about the story including (or even mainly focusing on) violent rape scenes, it’s not even about the dynamic between the main pairing being fucked up and toxic, it’s about the fact that there’s no more originality in it and everything is just so damn lazily written.
