Exactly, this story literally made me check the comments on anything I read so I can tell if it’s worth reading. Wasted like 2 hours of my life for the worst ending in history.

Yeah it was a bit anticlimactic the way he(uke) abruptly came back, that whole scene was unfair.
His husband had the short end of the stick but proved how much he loved him.
I would have preferred them together especially after all that bs they encountered.
Throughout that journey the male lead learned to fully accept himself and his sexuality. That's the message I think the author wanted to get across
Far as sex scenes this manga is labeled Shounen Ai not Yaoi or Smut. I've reads countless manga, Shounen ai genre usually has more wholesome BL stories with vague if any sex scenes, rarely has explicit scenes in this genre.
I do wish I saw more affectionate moments between married couple, more tender moments, there was more drama than anything.
The main character end pairing felt lacking in a sense. We get he felt apologetic about the past, I get the he stayed beside his unconscious state, I guess they started with a clean slate.
Read this was a waste of time, the ending was garbage. Him getting together with the real ML didn’t even feel good after all the shit we went though with the story ML. The entire world went to shit, and the step mother basically won, how is that a good ending.
Also he treated the story ML like shit “you aren’t real so you don’t matter” and the guy still sacrificed his life for him. This shit is garbage.
Also all that build up to barely get a sex scene????
