I don't agree. She can write about green flag tops. But, stories with toxic semes are more popular and that's what she gives us.

She has only had 1 consistent, healthy top since BJ Alex. Toxicity has layers and in this case it’s not only a personality characteristic but simply overload of rape and SA ☠ most of you are oversimplifying that as simply being “toxic” but mingwa gets lucky since most of her fanbase are teenagers and they don’t see the difference apparently

Again, it's up to the writer what they write about. Fact of course is that there is demand for her work, whether from teenagers or other. I suppose her work also caught your attention which is why you're taking the time to comment.

Again, let's not forget the primary goal of a writer is to garner attention for their work, regardless of whether good or bad. Sure, some care about the good but not all do. Something tells me this writer does not care. So in that sense, they have achieved their goal.

This is going way past my main point. I’m saying Mingwa can’t write for shit if it doesn’t involve some sort of SA/rape and that the main fan base of this series is kids which she definitely knows. I don’t give a single shit if this is her goal as a writer, it doesn’t make her and her work less trash. We’re talking about her, not technicalities of being a writer

Mingwa would’ve had a popular second work regardless of the story. It’s the successor to BJ Alex, one of the most influential BL stories in the genre. Had she written a story that was genuinely good, it may have been even more popular. People are only holding on because of the art and to see the redemption.

Take under the green light, another story that’s a successor to an insanely influential story. It’s become another famous work in the genre. Jinx on the other hand? This is now infamous and heavily disliked. People are only sticking around cause it’s Mingwa, not cause they enjoy this trash. It’s like a car crash, you can’t bring yourself to look away because you wanna know how it ends.

Had she written a story that wasn’t so toxic, idk, I think it would’ve done better. I stopped paying for new chapters because it was no longer worthy of my money, and I know a lot of people who did the same.

Tl;dr it wouldn’t have mattered, it would’ve been insanely popular either way. In fact, making it non-toxic would’ve been more beneficial.
