Not gonna lie I hope the ship would happen because it would have made the story more interesting for my teast and I could have never guessed they were siblings but never did I thought their will be someone sending dms and emails to the author about how they should take the story further. After reading the shadow queen I just can't take it for whatever reason the author drops the story, like if u really r gonna drop it take down the whole thing, as a new reader I would have only learned the true after I had reached the climax of the story.
