Ohh.. i feel like the world is telling him and that his coworkers see that he is soft-hearted and compassionate to be a surgeon. Thinking about it from my pov i feel like I could never be one as well, no matter how smart i think i could be.

You need to have a sort of detachment from the world in order to be one.
