Rereading after 4 or 5 years

I used to be quite the fan of this webtoon, haha, but maybe not so much anymore. It's fascinating how BJ Alex set the stage for Jinx to become such a hotly anticipated webtoon. The chase felt disappointingly short, wouldn't you say? But to be fair, there's definitely a different experience between eagerly awaiting each chapter and binge-reading it all in one go. The redemption arc felt more satisfying back when we had to wait for the story to unfold. And can we talk about DG's backstory? Talk about rushed! It should've been fleshed out earlier, like Jiwon's. Also, I've noticed the author's tendency to introduce characters and subplots on the fly (we see this in Jinx as well), which, honestly, isn't my cup of tea. And revisiting this, DG's "feelings" for Jiwon make me laugh a bit. It all seems so shallow, doesn't it? He's drawn to Jiwon's looks and the sex, but to call that love is kind of comical.

Dude you didn't have to be in love like hebliked Jiwon and that's it for whatever reason and it's not a bad thing second bj Alex is much better than jinx people forget that jiwon was a jerk but he was clear from the beginning that he won't fall in love and bla bla dg had the choice to leave him but he didn't anyway I don't know why I wrote all this but yeah xd

Jiwon's lack of tact has been evident since the beginning; he's the quintessential jerk, a fact I readily accept given my penchant for flawed protagonists (just look at my collections haha). But it's DG’s so-called "feelings" that truly piqued my interest. BJ Alex, a timeless classic, has sparked endless online discourse, often exalting DG above Jiwon—a viewpoint I once shared, I must admit. However, upon revisiting the series, DG's shallowness becomes glaringly apparent, shattering the pedestal on which we've placed him. Surprisingly, Jiwon's arguments hold more weight, as it was DG who crossed boundaries and faced the consequences. While I believe a touch more kindness from Jiwon towards his partner would have been appreciated, his reactions to DG’s confession were not entirely unwarranted. I still very much liked how things ended and how Jiwon changed, I just can't shake the feeling that the Author could have done better. (AND YEAH I AGREE THIS IS BETTER THAN JINX)
