Honeslty I agree with the hate towards plot holes and the very unecessary rape scene towards the end.
But I don’t get all of the hate towards Yuri’s character. I think the author did a great job explaining how this dude had a mental disorder, how he would have those bipolar bursts of anger cause his parents died like ofc it’s a HUGE traumatic event. His character developement felt very natural. Yes he hated ugly people. Dude was TRAUMATIZED. he apologised. In the scene he both calls Jearim and the other guy ugly, you can literally seing flinch back to reality cause it was an impulsive reaction due to trauma. Yes he walked away while Jaerim was being raped. But with the note he received it was very normal that he misunderstood the situation. Yes the ending was rushed, yes rapist guy didn’t get punished but how come no one is praising the whole scenario that was literally so interesting? Character’s consistency and development?? How Jaerim and Dongdude were made to be compared but it only showcased how much more strong Jaerim was ? And Aerek realizing he’s no different from blond guy cause he felt for his look first , like finally some original plot and consistent and deep characters !
I’m yapping but all that to say that I felt like yuri ´s character was soo deep and well thought. I don’t understand all the drama around him being shitty. That’s the plot. Every seme can’t be your golden retriever kawaii BL seme, let them have some personality for once. And then people are thirsting over Jinx’s seme (╬￣皿￣)凸
