Its weird that they're making a big deal out of a relationship from childhood.

but it is a huge deal. i mean friendships are really important, especially for children. they were there for each other when their parents were being douchebags and helped each other have a some what normal childhood/good memories until they were separated. it also shows that these people who seem aloof and kinda mean, were once really close and sweet.

yes theyre making a huge deal of their past relationship because its important to the characters and thus important to us.
