Agreed.. Sakurai's character development is too quick and too shallow, the worst he got is being burned repeatedly by those savages.. Usually I dont mind rape, but this one is ruining the plot, even though there's lots of potential... *sighs*
like the world building and lore from what we were given was really cool and i love this artists art. i enjoy dark and fucked up stories but at some point it just becomes overkill and isn’t even shocking anymore. still it always pleases me to find BL that attempts a unique and intricate plot like that. and i always hope for more sci-fi and fantasy BL.
Yeaa... It's like the author can't decide whether to make this series just full of smut trope without plot, or actually invested in the plot with just some smut scenes.. (︶︿︶)
this had a lot of interesting elements to it and could’ve been really good but the overuse of rape really made the story lose its impact for me. less rape and more violence against the rapists would’ve been nice. and the guy who caused Kaneda to be repeatedly raped gets to have a happily ever after without facing any real consequences whatsoever?! honestly sucks that so much of the story was rape when there was a lot of really interesting backstories and stuff that could’ve been focused on.
