The author just wanted a reason not to actually make a logical explanation. Sometimes I really wonder do many of these authors have an editor because it really shows that the art clearly comes before the narrative.

But what from I understand, the imperial family found out that the only person who can smell the prince pheromone is Lee Baekwoo, hence they are trying to take Baekwoo to the palace since he was a kid. To prevent this, his mother had to make a deal, the palace will protect her son and her son will eventually married the prince. Without the deal, Baekwoo probably will never experience a normal life. Plus, the mother never told him that he is an omega because he can’t smell others pheromones except the prince and he never go into heat. So, generally he is safe to live as a beta, which again make him experience a “normal life”
I fully agree with you. I think the author just thought why they will be together but not how. The authors these days don't seem to think before making stories

Fr. Like i get the explanation but its not logical or acceptable that it makes sense to you. Which is why i was so confused cos its like its not reasonable enough to accept. Also i hated whem that happened cos it makes rethink if im the problem and i just have no reading comprehension.
i dont get. like the moms reasoning for hiding, or how is that a sign of affiliation to the imperial family. etc. like did she sold her son? also wheres the dad. also you go beakwon, as a fellow archi student, its plate deadlines over anything else.
