honestly there's not much hope if we're going by the novel.. Zhenya just rapes him a shit ton more and then they get their "character development arc" or whatnot and fall in love with e/o..

After this takejoo is gonna end up in the hospital cause Zhenya basically left him for dead but he didn't rlly wanna kill him if ykwim
anyways then taekjoo and his real partner go to find Zhenya and get a photo of Anastasia to send back to HQs Zhenya rapes him again after taekjoo goes looking for him
then he brings him back to his island and rapes him some more ( it's still the same day btw ) and after that it's consitional. Taekjoo even makes beats w/Zhenya in order to get a good look around the island in order to escape which doesn't succeed.
& Yes he loses all the beats except one lol. They do get the redemption arc Zhenya changed a bit he's obsessed with taekjoo and even helped him capture his boss ( I won't spoil it unless you want me to )
so yes the Redemption arc is a long way but they do finally kiss !
Can someone do a short briefing about what will happen according to the novel...? I can't bear to read it alone because it's too much for me to handle. I just want to know if there will be some development or will Taekjoo-ssi will have his revenge... Please do a synopsis for me please please...
