The concept is amazing. The execution is ehhhhhhh.
Starting with her parents, they are unequivocally bad people however their thought process makes a lot of sense. She was born to be Empress which is The hardest jobs in the entire entire kingdom hands down. I would say it’s harder than the Emperor. Like from the minute, she was born of kingdom the fact that her mom was stressed. The fuck out makes sense to me because if the daughter ever failed in her role, it would look horrible on her mother and the family and they are not doing good.
Ludwig was by my favorite character alongside Beatrice because they are such interesting takes on the Child groomed to be the best. A lot of people didn’t understand why he hated her, but it makes sense because she got away from the nightmare. He was still living in until his death. She represented everything he couldn’t and because she was running the family his happy ending was rapidly decreasing. I also like Beatrice, I don’t have a lot to say on her because I feel like she was the villainess who didn’t want to be the villain and we seen that before, but it was still very interesting and it’s always always interesting in any manhwa it’s in.
I’d like the Main characters parents, but they felt to silly like I like that they stood up for the female lead to leave her parents because they were actively abusing her, They made her a worse Empress than her and her first life. And also, they didn’t feel like good rulers. They were great parents and Parental figures, but that doesn’t translate to running a kingdom. The way they treated Ludwig was kind of weird because as soon as he showed up, they were like what is the best way we can get rid of him as a problem which is crazy.
End it felt like they were trying to stick as many things as they can on the wall, but by then nothing was sticking like the fact that the commoner turned swordmaster told the prince you only hate me because my blood isn’t noble and the prince went no, killed him and that’s it like ok.
Also, the ending was crazy like fuck every other character, I guess?!?
Long story short, the characters are really interesting and I hope someone takes them out of this and protect them and does something with them because they could’ve been a lot more than what they were
