Same here, I was thinking that he might turn into the human form (at least for the romance stuff) as he did in the 1st chapters but I jumped straight to the bonus chapter and I see animal hubby and human wife ( I think I stopped around chapter 14 or something a long time ago so I don't know what happened after that but the last chapter sent my hope for him to turn back to human in vain lol)
I can't take seriously an animal looking + human it always makes me laugh, but that is just a personal preference, because the story is neat, I liked Sariphi a lot. She seemed like the overly innocent and childish but she showed a lot of personality for the first chapter, not fearing the king and all, I really got the need to protect her, she is precious, the king too, so strong yet a kind soulヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~.
I loved the side characters too, specially the croc princess/maid she was so funny, good thing she got her love too.
