Yes, agreed. Honestly, I dropped this a couple times after reading the first couple chap bc it was just too frustrating. But I binged it for once and it is a very relatable story. I don't find the angst and frustration to be unnecessary at any point. Tbh teenage is a wierdly sensitive time for people. I too remember some stuff my mom said or did offhandedly that hurt me and stuck to me but when I bring it up she doesn't even remember it. So I get how that comment stuck with him for so long.
Maybe it’s bc I forgot take my antidepressants but this made me ugly cry at the end….the uke did frustrate me a lot at the beginning but I found myself sympathizing for him more as it went on. It’s tough growing up gay, and it’s the seemingly little comments your friends and family say that stick with you. All in all, I’d give it a 8/10, would reread
