no cuz i totally agree. but i also feel like they’re doing too much with kishiar. idk if that’s just me or wtv and ik he’s depicted as like.. a big beast from yuders pov and to be smiling all the time but the way he’s drawn looks like he’s condescendingly smiling or that he’s sex crazed which to my memory just doesn’t match right idk
Ya I get what you mean. When it comes to writing, things can be more nuanced and your brain can fill the gaps with your imagination. Kishiar comes off more as a mysterious, charismatic unfathomable leader. It cam be harder to depict that visually. The way he's drawn does feel a bit more intimidating, maybe the huge height difference contributes to that. I don't think yuders supposed to be that mucj shorter than him
Sorry as a novel reader I'm not really impressed with how they handled the flashback it felt very out of place and jarring. I think just the flashback hinting at their previous relationship indirectly would have been better. It would have set the mood/atmosphere better instead of flat out sex.
Considering the novel is really careful and good at creating atmosphere and gradually developing their relationship, I guess maybe im being too nitpicky.
