I'm a queer person myself and don't really understand your disdain. It's historical josei manhwa adapted from the historical josei novel. It's Korean, first and foremost, where lgbtq+ is still frowned upon. Secondly, action takes place in late 18th-early 19th century, where lgbtq+ movement only started to be acknowledged. And, lastly, Carsel wasn't even portrayed as bi so i don't see why he can't be weirded out by the fact that Inés, the woman he likes, thinks he's gay. And I'm not even talking about the fact that josei implies heterosexual relationships..

On top of Carcel was harassed by actual gays bc he is attractive so he hated their attention. I have a gay friend who had crushes on straight guys before and those straight guys always don't like him bc of how forthcoming he was but I'm glad my gay friend found a partner who can love him back now and he now lives as a SAH hubby spoiled by his husband :)
