not so similar to the game in the story but i found my best mates in monster hunter games, people in my guild are the most wholesome, chaotic dumbasses i know :>> the games on sale in steam heh (theres also an awful lot of grinding in it)

i did play this one mobile game called tales of wind, similar game type like the one in here, mmorpg, cute chibi characters that u can customize, guild system, met friendly people on there, though there’s a lot of mmorpgs, i think i played tales of wind the most in the past, also met ppl on royal chaos
