Without giving away too much spoilers, she's under brainwashing and it really affects the way she perceives herself within her family and so it's frustrating bc you want the plot to move forward and her sense of self to evolve but she's literally tortured into believing xyz instead. But new chapter the ml realizes her brainwashing is slowly becoming less strong but her family r just bad ppl there's no redeeming them. Even after she moves out they find her while she's walking in the streets
