I would agree with you if he wasn’t beating his wife everyday. It doesn’t sound like he loves his wife too much if he is beating her.
yeah.. it's all just delusions in his mind, even if he thinks he is good to his family it doesn't mean it's actually true. in real life there are many scumbags who are convinced they're good husbands/fathers even when they're abusive af so ╮(￣▽￣)╭

just my opinion but I feel like he wasn't genuine when he said that his family wasn't his weakness, like that was his very trashy way of trying to protect them by acting like he didn't care.. but we all saw how his relationship with his daughter was keeping him somewhat sane, he liked the delusion that he was a good person/family man (he is NOT) but regardless, he still fell in MC's trap because his family won't forgive him after watching that video
