In their defence, in ancient Korea, women didn't really have much rights, even noble women, had even less rights then a commoner man.
There's a thing called seven sins of women during the joseon era where they are able to be punished and divorced if broken, (and they cannot remarry)
disobedience towards in-laws, inability to bear a son, adultery, jealousy, poor DNA, talkativeness and coin collecting.
Women back then were basically at the mercy of their husbands, so they would show their anger towards mistresses instead.
I'll never understand how this so called noble women always blame the illegitimate child for their husband wrongdoings. If it were me, i'll take the child and cut my husband pp before i kick him away.
