In my opinion, it was not romanticized here, the uke didn't feel good and it shown. At least it didn't turn into pleasure. But we'll see how they turn that scene later, if it is romanticized or not

The uke was drawn in a sexy pose just before. The author made him blush and moan. + the cliche lines. And they will end up together in the end. It is 100% romanticized imo. Usually when BL authors want such a scene to seem creepy/disturbing they draw disgut, fear or anger on the victim's face, occasionally making the seme sweating in a gross way or giving him a creepy smile. Here I rly have no doubt that it's just the classic uke-falls-in-love-with-his-hot-rapist trope to satisfy the 'gays being raped' fetichists :/

It’s romanticized knowing they’ll end up together anyway and it just will be a “bad memory”

I see what you mean. I saw the "romanticizing" fact as the way of hiding the rape with pleasure, but I just felt that the author didn't deny it was rape and unwanted, compared to a lot of yaoi I red.

I agree that the fetisch "gays being raped
