Somehow... the confession came outta nowhere. After all this build up, the blue balling, the unnecessary drama to drag the story---the actual confession felt like the author went "oh yeah I guess I should do that probbaby huh"
And of course the recent chapter ends with yet another potential drama. At this point, I think the story is only capable of handling this one of two ways (that are basically the same thing anyway.
1) A fake out drama. New guy gets in the way of Hayato and Jin bur turns out to be generally harmless and actually wishes them the best
2) Actual drama tha inevitably is resolved fairly quickly say that really just resets us to the status quo.
45 chapters in, I REALLY dont see this story giving its characters consequential development. Maybe I'm just jaded.
