I don't know if it's like a requirement at this point for everything to have romance in it. Most of the time it's just really annoying
Tbh love and attraction is just a normal thing to experience, if you think about it, it's not weird to find romance everywhere. But well many ppl read books to run away from reality, but to be hit by actual reality(romance for example) in books can be annoying ig /j
We just want our single baddie OP MC!! But romance can be a nice cherry on top when it's executed well and not forced (⊼⌔⊼ ) Doom Breaker, for example. That one is really good
When they add romance to shounens it either goes to harem (so to the extreme) or they add just one girl for him to not be single and protect the whole series. I think the best romance management was on solo leveling. It existed when everything is over
