It was okay until ch 43 where they bring Islam into the comic. This is the second manhwa ive read for disrespecting my religion. They’re trying to portray us muslims as if we’re savages and stubborn.

I’m Muslim and I actually liked their portrayal. I appreciate the author knowing all those details about Islam and Dhabihah (which is the Arabic word for sacrifice/carcass). She even knew that if you felt as if you’ve sinned, you must fast. I see nothing of “savagery” though I did feel like they mixed up Hindu and Islamic culture a bit.

But if you look at how he reacted to her preparing beef for him, he could have just reminded her gently or politely reject the food but nah the author just had to portray him as if he’s someone who always find wrong things in others and not to mention instead of correcting her gently, he shouted while saying “are you mocking us” “I will not forget this insult” and whatsoever and the fact that author made him as an uninvited guest. His character that author has created was enough proof of how they think about us. They must be thinking lowly of us as if we’re ‘entitled’ people. If they truly understand our religion then they’d know that our religion teach us to respect others and correct others mistakes gently and not by shouting.

It was not portrayed well at all. I don't know about you, but I don't know anyone of us who goes around thinking "i am in a city of pagans, hurr durr I am surprised they're being decent." Nor would anyone flip over being served meat, as most of us understand that not everyone is well informed about Islam. Of course he would refuse to eat it, but an accurate portrayal would've been him gently but firmly refusing to, not slamming the table and yelling. This was a disgusting and blatant display of ignorance.

Could you please let me know of the name of the other manhwa so I don't waste my time accidentally reading it?

That’s why. It’s anno to the palaceying to see that not only he came unannounced but also get angry when people served him meat. Like if the author truly understand Islam, then they wouldn’t portray us like that.

I thought of that part not as a portrayal of the Muslims at all. Like, if Christians were to be rude at such a setting, they don't represent the whole Christian community. What came to mind was that the person was a stereotype noble, so regardless of his beliefs, he is arrogant and eccentric. (I had the urge to say because in the same way you were uncomfortable of how you understood they portrayed Muslims, I was also a little offended you would think we will think ill of Muslims because of this comic.)
