I think we're already more than halfway through the novel. It's a real slowburn though because I think the romance was only towards the end.
To be honest I don't think this is a BL like everyone keeps saying and if it is it's a REALLY slow burn romance because so far we had absolutely no romantic scenes just a one sided flirting and it wasn't from mc. I like the story and I hope it IS a BL but damn 3 seasons done and no romance so either the author is going to just rush the romance is 1 or 2 seasons or they aren't going to romance route
