It’s short because it’s only special episodes for the Lunar New Year holiday. What kind of special episodes for the holiday period will be that long? This is not even side stories.
Then the pace could've been better. In no world is "meet, immediately have sex in which one party feels kinda forced to do it, then boom end the story" a proper plot even for a special.
Would it have killed the author to add 3 more chapters and try to develop the romance a little more? The uke was thinking "I will have sex with him just to save my village" literally one chapter ago. He was afraid of him and had 0 feelings for him. Then BOOM they loved happily ever after.....sigh
