It's probably a flash forward of what going to happen in the series. A lot of stories do that, and then the other chapters are showing how we lead up to it.
Yeah yeah sure, I know a lot of stories do that, but that alone is kind of boring and extremely obvious/pretty on the nose, I was trying to anticipate a little plot twist here. Lol.
I’m gonna guess that the scene at the beginning was actually those two elders in their younger days. Like maybe this is just a thing that keeps happening every generation, as if Fox and Raccoon are always destined to f*ck eventually, no matter what. Lmao
