I understood it more of Ilay saying like he shouldn't exercise so much self restraint towards Tay or that whenever Tay isn't around Ilay loses his marbles, Ilay was kind of saying that he shouldn't be doing these things bcs his subconscious should already be aware of the fact that Tay belongs to him no matter what, like assurance to himself in some twisted way. did u get my point
