I believe they're gonna follow the novel. With all this abusiveness we're seeing. I don't see any redemption arc. This seme is delusional from start to finish. He really did not think that the uke's feelings for him were genuine. This author created a monster.

And one thing I hate about him in the novel is that I never actually felt like he loved the uke but just understood how life was affecting him without him and how he wanted the uke to love him, like his feeling never felt genuine to me
I've never read the novel but in the earlier part of their arc. I really thought he loved the uke but felt betrayed becuse of his very own misunderetanding on the uke's part. Thinking the uke only wants to marry him to have power. Like bruh???? Wtaf i actually dropped this story when the prince sided with the whore who have the audacity to danger our uke. despite knowing he have a life threatening illness and now all these tortures. Cause the novel is absolute bullshit, there is basically no redemption arch and the uke loose his sight and MIND, the prince won't let him leave and he takes him hostage and abuses him till the end of his life sort of
I read the novel to feel better and see him on his knees begging uke to take him back (like his father) but nah his arrogance and selfishness is prescience till the end so if they are really taking that route imma just head out
